Regular Season Round 14: Edmonton - Fraser Valley 106-65

Very significant was Edmonton's (#1, 12-1) victory against 4th ranked Fraser Valley (5-6) 106-65. Edmonton forced 23 Fraser Valley turnovers and outrebounded them 49-32 including 35 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 32 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Fraser Valley's players. Fraser Valley was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Jamaican-Canadian guard Jahmal Jones (186-91, college: Ryerson) notched 28 points, 6 rebounds, 9 assists and 5 steals to lead the effort and swingman Jordan Baker (201-91, college: Alberta) supported him with 16 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists. Five Edmonton players scored in double figures. Even 21 points by Jamaican-Canadian point guard Alex Campbell (191-93, college: Windsor) did not help to save the game for Fraser Valley. Jamaican-Canadian point guard Shaquille Keith (198-93, college: Cape Breton) added 13 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Edmonton (12-1) have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position. Fraser Valley lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with six games lost. Edmonton will again play against Fraser Valley (#4) at home in the next round. Fraser Valley will have a break next round.
