Regular Season Round 13: Edmonton - Saskatchewan 85-78

CEBL top team - Edmonton (11-1) added another victory to their record. This time they beat seventh ranked Saskatchewan (1-11) 85-78. It was a great shooting night for Edmonton especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. American forward Marlon Johnson (208-94, college: NMHU) stepped up and scored 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and swingman Jordan Baker (201-91, college: Alberta) chipped in 12 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Edmonton players scored in double figures. Edmonton's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side American forward Jakeenan Gant (203-96, college: La-Lafayette) responded with 27 points and 6 rebounds and guard Devonte Bandoo (190-0, college: Baylor) scored 10 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Edmonton have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 11-1 record. Defending champion Saskatchewan stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. Edmonton will play against Fraser Valley (#4) at home in the next round. Saskatchewan will have a break next round.
