Regular Season Round 13: Guelph - Niagara 69-89

The game in Guelph supposed to be also quite interesting. Third ranked Niagara (7-5) played at the court of 6th ranked Guelph (3-9). Niagara did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 89-69 on Sunday. Niagara looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. British-Canadian guard Philip Scrubb (191-92, college: Carleton) nailed 19 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists for the winning side and British-Canadian Thomas Scrubb (199-91, college: Carleton) accounted for 17 points and 5 rebounds. Five Niagara players scored in double figures. American guard Ahmed Hill (196-95, college: Virginia Tech) came up with 24 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import guard Michael Bryson (193-94, college: UCSB) added 8 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Guelph in the defeat. Guelph's coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Niagara maintains third place with 7-5 record having four points less than leader Edmonton. Loser Guelph keeps the sixth position with nine games lost. Niagara will meet at home league's second-placed Hamilton in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Guelph will play against Ottawa (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
