Regular Season Round 12: Ottawa - Saskatchewan 82-69
Date: July 26, 2021
There was no surprise when 7th ranked Saskatchewan (1-10) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Ottawa (5-6) 82-69 on Monday. Worth to mention a great performance of French forward Dominique Archie (201-87, college: S.Carolina) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and guard Kadre Gray (186-97, college: Laurentian, agency: Interperformances) who added 18 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Ottawa's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American guard Demarcus Holland (190-94, college: Texas) with 15 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 6 steals and his fellow American import forward Travis Daniels (202-92, college: MSU) scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Ottawa maintains fifth position with 5-6 record. Defending champion Saskatchewan stay at the bottom place with ten games lost. Ottawa will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Saskatchewan will play against the league's leader Edmonton (#1) and hope to win that game.
