Regular Season Round 11: Niagara - Ottawa 94-92

Important game to mention about took place in Niagara. Fourth ranked Niagara (5-4) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 5th ranked Ottawa (4-6) 94-92 in the fight for the fourth place. Niagara dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Ottawa's 34 and made 18-of-23 charity shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Niagara players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Javin DeLaurier (208-98, college: Duke) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks. His fellow American import forward Xavier Sneed (196-97, college: Kansas St.) helped adding 18 points and 4 assists. Niagara's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American forward Nick Ward (203-97, college: Michigan St.) responded with 28 points and 8 rebounds and French forward Dominique Archie (201-87, college: S.Carolina) scored 20 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Niagara and four Ottawa players scored in double figures. Niagara have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 5-4 record. Ottawa at the other side keeps the fifth position with six games lost. Niagara will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Ottawa will play at home against Saskatchewan (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
