Important game to mention about took place in Niagara. Fifth ranked Niagara (3-4) saved a 3-point victory at home edging second-best Hamilton (6-3) 71-68 on Saturday evening. Niagara forced 21 Hamilton turnovers and outrebounded them 52-41 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for American forward Javin DeLaurier (208-98, college: Duke) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 17 rebounds and 4 blocks. His fellow American import forward Xavier Sneed (196-97, college: Kansas St.) contributed with 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Guard Cody John (190-96, college: Weber St.) answered with 14 points and Nigerian-Canadian forward Kenny Ejim (198-94, college: Humber) added 12 points in the effort for Hamilton. Hamilton's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Niagara maintains fifth place with 3-4 record. Hamilton at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost. Niagara will play against bottom-ranked Saskatchewan (#7) in Saskatoon in the next round. Hamilton will play at home against Ottawa (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
