Third ranked Fraser Valley (5-2) crushed at home 6th ranked Guelph (1-5) by 21 points 92-71, which is the biggest margin this round on Wednesday night. Fraser Valley outrebounded Guelph 41-26 including a 29-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Fraser Valley made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was American swingman Kenny Manigault (195-91, college: Pikeville) who scored 14 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Guard Malcolm Duvivier (190-95, college: Akron) chipped in 20 points. American power forward Chad Brown (207-96, college: UCF) produced 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 blocks and his fellow American import point guard Anthony Barber (188-94, college: NC State) added 11 points and 7 assists respectively for the guests. Five Fraser Valley and four Guelph players scored in double figures. Guelph's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Fraser Valley maintains third position with 5-2 record behind leader Edmonton. Loser Guelph keeps the sixth place with five games lost.
