Regular Season Round 3: Edmonton - Niagara 82-75
Date: July 2, 2021
There was no surprise when Niagara (0-3) was defeated on the road by Edmonton (2-0) 82-75. They made 18-of-23 charity shots (78.3 percent) during the game. It was a good game for American guard Xavier Moon (188-95, college: Morehead St.) who led his team to a victory with 38 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Swingman Jordan Baker (201-91, college: Alberta) contributed with 9 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Edmonton's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Xavier Sneed (196-97, college: Kansas St.) answered with 19 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import forward Javin DeLaurier (208-98, college: Duke) added 16 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Niagara. Edmonton will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Niagara will play on the road against Saskatchewan (#7) in Saskatoon and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
