Regular Season Round 2: Ottawa - Guelph 96-79

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Guelph on the court of Ottawa. Visitors were defeated by Ottawa 96-79. They made 16-of-21 charity shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Guard Kadre Gray (186-97, college: Laurentian, agency: Interperformances) notched 27 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the effort and American forward Nick Ward (203-97, college: Michigan St.) supported him with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Even 25 points and 5 rebounds by American point guard Anthony Barber (188-94, college: NC State) did not help to save the game for Guelph. Forward Justin Jackson (201-97, college: Maryland) added 17 points and 8 rebounds for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ottawa will play against Hamilton at home in the next round. Guelph will have a break next round.
