Regular Season Round 2: Saskatchewan - Hamilton 71-73
Date: June 28, 2021
Quite upsetting was Saskatchewan's home defeat in a game versus Hamilton who edged hosts 73-71. Saskatchewan was very close to get their first win. But it seems they have to wait a little bit longer. The best player for the winners was guard Lindell Wigginton (185-98, college: Iowa St.) who scored 20 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Kalif Young (206-97, college: Providence) chipped in 14 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Hamilton players scored in double figures. American forward Travis Daniels (202-92, college: MSU) produced 13 points and 7 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Jakeenan Gant (203-96, college: La-Lafayette) added 13 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Hamilton will meet Ottawa on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Saskatchewan will play against Fraser Valley and hope to win that game.
