Courtesy of Eurobasket LLC We bring you last week's top former Eagles players who are currently playing in pro basketball.
#1. Xavier Johnson (5'8''-PG-93, played in 2014-17, plays pro in Bulgaria) led Rilski to an easy victory against one of league's weakest teams Chernomorets (0-2) crushing them 98-75 in the Bulgarian NBL on Saturday night. Johnson scored 11 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 30 minutes. Rilski Sportist Samokov (2-0) is placed third in the NBL. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. This season Johnson averages 8.5ppg, 10.5rpg and 1.5apg. He is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.
#2. Orlando Coleman (6'5''-F-92, played in 2012-13, plays in Hungary) led Atomeromu to an easy victory against the 12th-ranked JP-Auto JKSE (0-3) 77-62 in the Hungarian A Division in Saturday night's game. Coleman scored 13 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Atomeromu SE Paks (2-1) is placed sixth in the A Division. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Coleman's first year with the team. He has relatively good stats this season 11.0ppg, 6.0rpg and 1.3spg in three games he played so far.
#3. Experienced Elie Stephan (6'4''-SG-86, graduated '07, currently in Lebanon), who plays in the Lebanese LBL could not help Byblos (1-3) to beat Anibal (2-1). It was Navarra's third consecutive loss in a row. But the season just started, so everything may happen. It's Wilson's first year with the team.
