#1. Marvin Jones (7'0''-C-1993, played in 2013-14, plays pro in Greece) contributed to a 2-point PAOK's victory against the closely-ranked AEK Betsson (4-2) 78-76 in the Greek GBL last Sunday. He scored 10 points in 20 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. PAOK Mateco Thessaloniki (5-1) is placed second in the GBL. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Jones' first year with the team. This season Jones averages 8.8ppg and 5.2rpg in six games he played so far.
#2. Andrew Lewis (6'3''-G-1998, played in 2018-19, plays in Georgia) could not help one of league's weakest teams Iverioni (3-2) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Lewis' good performance Iverioni was defeated 73-69 at home by the higher-ranked Kutaisi (#4). He was the second best scorer with 12 points. Lewis also added 8 rebounds, passed 5 assists and added 2 blocks. Lewis has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 17.2ppg, 6.0rpg, 4.2apg and 1.6spg.
#3. Sean Clancey (6'2''-G-1995, played in 2015-16, currently in Portugal), who plays in the Portuguese Liga Betclic was not able to help one of league's weakest teams Vasco da Gama in their last game. Despite his very good performance his team lost 103-107 on the road to the lower-ranked (#5) Esgueira. Clancey was the second best scorer with 19 points. He also added 8 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 35 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Clancey's third season in pro basketball. Clancey has very impressive stats this year 19.4ppg, 7.2rpg, 2.2apg and 2.2spg in five games.
#4. Experienced Michael Ochereobia (6'3''-F-1989, played in 2009-11, plays pro in United Kingdom) contributed to a B.Braun Sheffield Sharks' victory against the league outsider Gladiators (2-8) 73-65 in the British SLB last Friday. Ochereobia scored 6 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. B.Braun Sheffield Sharksis placed third in the SLB. This season Ochereobia averages 4.1ppg and 3.3rpg. He has also British citizenship.
#5. Brandon Hill (6'1''-G-2000, played in 2021-22, plays in Montenegro) was not able to secure a victory for Vukovi Zeta (1-4) in their last game. Despite Hill's good performance Vukovi Zeta lost 77-87 in Kotor4 to the higher-ranked (#6) Kotor. He was the second best scorer with 14 points. Hill also added 5 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 33 minutes; not bad, considering it's only his second season in pro basketball. It was Vukovi Zeta's fourth consecutive loss in a row. But the season just started, so everything may happen. Hill has relatively good stats this year 13.8ppg, 5.8rpg, 3.6apg and 1.6spg in five games.
#6. Gerard Hadidian (6'8''-PF-1995, played in 2014-15, currently in Lebanon) helped Sagesse win their game against the seventh-ranked Antonine 95-91 in the Lebanese DLBL in Saturday night's game. Hadidian recorded 10 points and added 3 passes. Hadidian has relatively good stats this season 12.8ppg, 4.3rpg and 1.8apg.
#7. Ante Sustic (6'10''-C -1997, played in 2016-18, plays pro in Croatia) helped Djakovo win their game against the third-ranked Skrljevo 92-82 in the Croatian Prva Liga (second division) last Saturday. He scored 7 points in 15 minutes. Sustic has relatively good stats this year 10.4ppg and 4.6rpg in five games.
#8. Vuk Stevanic (6'8''-C-2000, played in 2018-20, plays in Spain) helped Toledo win their game against the 12th-ranked Jaen CB crushing them 97-68 in the Spanish Segunda FEB (third division) on Sunday night. He scored 8 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. This season Stevanic averages 6.7ppg, 3.2rpg and 2.0apg.
