The biggest surprise of round 8 was guestWolves ' (#2) road victory over Blaze (#3) 65-61 on Saturday evening. The best player for the winners was forward Ugonne Onyiah (190, college: California) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. Swingman IimarI Thomas (178-2000, college: UCLA) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 16 rebounds. Canadian-American guard Ameela Li (168-1997, college: Pacific) produced 22 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals and guard Isabella Mauricio (163, college: Brown) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Wolves maintains second position with 6-2 record having just two points less than leader Phoenix. Defending champion Blaze keeps the third place with three games lost. They share the position with Swish.
