Regular Season Round 40: Seattle SH - Vancouver V. 139-105

Date: May 22, 2025
The game between closely ranked teams ended with one of their biggest challengers Volcanoes' (4-13) road loss to third ranked Super Hawks (12-9) in Seattle 105-139 on Thursday. Seattle dominated down low during the game scoring 90 of its points in the paint compared to Volcanoes's 60. Seattle forced 19 Vancouver turnovers and had a 38-27 advantage in offensive rebounds. Seattle looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. The winners were led by Nahshon George (206-1993, college: Idaho) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 23 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Elijah Hardy (188-1999, college: CSUSB) supported him with 27 points and 6 assists. George attended previously one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball. Even 33 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 5 assists by guard Gamaun Boykin (191-1996, college: CWU) did not help to save the game for Vancouver. Forward Solomon Campbell (208, college: Evergreen St.) added 22 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Seattle moved-up to second place. Vancouver lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the third position with 13 games lost. They share it with 95ers. Seattle will meet Willamette VJ (#5) in the next round. Vancouver will play against Salem C. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
