No shocking result in a game when third rankedValley Vipers (11-10) crushed 5th ranked Breaks (5-16) in Winchester 120-97 on Thursday. Virginia shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 51.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The winners were led by American forward Quentin Scott (201-1998, college: Tulane) who scored that evening 31 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his eight free throws) and guard Dwight Glover (190-2000, college: York, NE) supported him with 30 points. Valley Vipers' coach felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 23 points and 9 rebounds by forward Chris Lyons (183-1997, college: Gloucester CC) did not help to save the game for Jersey SB . Guard Julius Coles Jr (196-1989, college: Canisius) added 18 points and 7 assists for lost side. Four Virginia and five Jersey SB players scored in double figures. Virginia maintains third position with 11-10 record having five points less than leader New York P. Loser Breaks keeps the fifth place with 16 games lost. Virginia will meet at home Rochester K. (#7) in the next round. Jersey SB will play against the league's leader New York P. and hope to secure a win.
