The most exciting game of round 9 in the TBL took place in San Antonio. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 4th placedClutch (0-4) to third ranked Lightning (3-3) 119-116 in the game for the third place. 29 personal fouls committed by San Antonio C. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Power forward Hunter Mickelson (208-1992, college: Kansas) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 19 rebounds for the winners and point guard Anterrious Rhyan (183-1999, college: Judson) chipped in 35 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Rhyan is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Lightning's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was Deon Lyle (197-1996, college: UTSA, agency: Momentum SM) with 23 points and 7 rebounds and guard Greg Bowie II (190-1998, college: TAMIU, agency: Interperformances) scored 24 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Lightning have a solid series of three victories in a row. Little Rock L. maintains third place with 3-3 record behind leader Great Falls E. San Antonio C. at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Willamette VJ and Lake County L..
