Tide (0-1) recorded its first loss in Moncton on Saturday night. Hosts were rolled over by fourth ranked Hoopers (1-2) 98-74 . Halifax forced 20 Tri-City T. turnovers. The best player for the winners was Canadian forward Anthony Ottley (199-1991, college: Red Deer) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds. Swingman Jaylin Scott (196-2000, college: Alaska-Anch.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Hoopers players scored in double figures. Kyler Haynes (201-1998, college: A&M Texarkana) produced 16 points and 6 rebounds and Canadian point guard KirVaris Myricks (183-1994, college: ULACD) added 7 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Hoopers left bottom position moving up to third place, which they share with Lebanon. Tri-City T. at the other side still closes the standings with one game lost. They share the position with Rochester K. and CYM.
