The game in Hamilton was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked River Lions (8-6) played at the court of 8th ranked Honey Badgers (5-8). River Lions did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 101-84 on Wednesday. River Lions forced 20 Honey Badgers turnovers. The best player for the winners was American guard Khalil Ahmad (191-1996, college: CS Fullerton) who scored 23 points and 4 assists. Guard Jahvon Henry-Blair (193-1998, college: Georgetown) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds. American guard Christian Vital (188-1997, college: UConn) produced 23 points and 5 rebounds and British forward Ashley Hamilton (201-1988, college: LMU) added 17 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. River Lions have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Honey Badgers lost fourth consecutive game. Defending champion dropped to the ninth position with eight games lost. River Lions will meet at home Shooting Stars (#4) in the next round. Honey Badgers will play against the league's leader Blackjacks (#1) and hope to secure a win.
