Regular Season Round 1: Montreal - Niagara 84-69

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of River Lions in Montreal. Visitors were defeated by Alliance 84-69. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to River Lions' 28. American point guard Blake Francis (183-1998, college: Richmond) nailed 30 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and his fellow American import guard Treveon Graham (198-1993, college: VCU) accounted for 12 points and 14 rebounds. Four Alliance players scored in double figures. Forward Lloyd Pandi (193-1999, college: Carleton) came up with 12 points and 6 rebounds and British guard Patrick Whelan (195-1996, college: William Jewell) added 13 points respectively for River Lions in the defeat. River Lions' coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Alliance will play against Blackjacks in Ottawa in the next round, which may be the game of the day. River Lions will play on the road against Stingers in Edmonton and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
