The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Titans (7-2) in Kitchener on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by second ranked Five (5-1) 113-107. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Sudbury F. made 31-of-38 free shots (81.6 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. 31 personal fouls committed by KW Titans helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Jaquan Lightfoot (203, college: Southeastern) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Duane Notice (188-1994, college: S.Carolina, agency: Inception Sports) who added 22 points and 6 assists during the contest. At the losing side American guard Tarkus Ferguson (193-1995, college: UIC, agency: Interperformances) responded with 24 points, 5 assists and 4 steals and his fellow American import guard Antoine Mason (191-1992, college: Auburn, agency: Interperformances) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Five Sudbury F. and four KW Titans players scored in double figures. Titans' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Five have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 5-1 record having five points less than leader KW Titans. KW Titans at the other side still keep top place with two games lost. Sudbury F. are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Lake Erie (#5) in Jamestown in the next round. KW Titans will play at home against Windsor Exp. (#4) and are hoping to win this game.
