There was no surprise in Sudbury where 8th rankedWranglers (2-18) were crushed by second ranked Five (17-8) 136-94 on Saturday. Sudbury F. dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Wranglers 's 40 and made 24-of-27 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Sudbury F. outrebounded Glass City W. 54-33 including a 44-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Swingman JaMyrin Jackson (192-1998, college: Lansing CC) stepped up and scored 30 points for the winners and American guard Charlie Marquardt (193-1995, college: Molloy) chipped in 19 points and 10 rebounds. Marquardt is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Five players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Clemmye Owens V (186-1994, college: Chicago St.) with 23 points and the other American import Marlon Moore Jr (196-1997, college: West Liberty) scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sudbury F. maintains second place with 17-8 record having just two points less than leader Meriden Sons. Glass City W. lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 18 games lost.
