Rather expected game in Lansing where 6th rankedRogues (6-12) were defeated by fourth ranked Pharaohs (8-9) 132-117 on Thursday. Pontiac P. made 28-of-34 free shots (82.4 percent) during the game, while Newfoundland R. only scored ten points from the stripe. They outrebounded Newfoundland R. 66-39 including a 55-31 advantage in defensive rebounds. Pontiac P. looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. The best player for the winners was guard Jaire Grayer (196-1996, college: TCU) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points, 20 rebounds and 8 assists. Guard Dwight Burton (185-1997, college: Madonna) chipped in a double-double by scoring 31 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Eric Boone (188-1999, college: NCCU) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists and point guard Tchumsy Wright III (180, college: Spoon River JC) added 26 points respectively for the guests. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Rogues' coach tested ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pontiac P. maintains fourth place with 8-9 record. Newfoundland R. lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with 12 games lost.
