During the past weekend, the Santa Barbara Breakers hosted the 'Breakers Labor Day Weekend Tournament'. It was a four-team mini league, with the Ventura Jets, the Hollywood Hooptainers and the Entertainment Basketball League AllStars competing together with the Breakers.
The Santa Barbara Breakers were successful with a 104-67 shellacking of the EBL Stars and an 88-73 thumping of the Hollywood Hooptainers. Joshua Stanhiser (6'11''-F-80) scored 15 points, grabbed 16 rebs and blocked 4 shots, dominating the inside at both ends of the floor, and being named the Tournment MVP. Here down aere listed all the players awarded after the Tournment.
The Breakers will now concentrate on their 2010 China Tour, which will begin October 6 thru the 26th. Coach Curt Pickering (agency: Prossin Sports Management ) is diligently assembling their 11 man squad. They will play a 10 game schedule, playing against CBA (China Basketball Association), the Canadian All Stars and a professional club team from Brazil.
