The Santa Barbara Breakers won their first game on the 2009 China Tour by defeating the Brazilian National Club Team 73-63. The Breakers went into the lockerroom at halftime with a 38-28 lead. Top performers were Bryson McKenzie (6'11''-C-83, college: N.Illinois), Dwuan Rice (5'11''-G, college: CSU Bakersfield) and latest added Kenyon Gamble (7'0''-C-82, college: Tuskegee), who tallied 11 rebounds and 5 blocks for the game. Two nights after, the Breakers won their second straight game defeating the Qingdao Double Star Hawks 83-74. It was the opening game of the Shengdong Basketball Invitational Tournament, which is featuring the Breakers, Qingdao, Brazilian National Club Team and Bayi Army Chinese Club Team. Leading scorers for the Breakers were Perrin Johnson (6'5''-G-84, college: Louisville) with 15 pts, Terrance Thomas (6'6''-F-80, agency: Pro One Sports, college: Baylor) with 13 and Raheem Moss (6'4''-G-83, college: Cleveland St.) with 11. And despite foul trouble, Bryson McKenzie grabbed 7 rebounds and scored 11 points inside.
