The first round of the 2016 playoffs is in the books, and ended with possibly two of the best games we have seen all season.
The Northeast first round game sent the third seed Jamestown Jackals to Buffalo to face the second seed the Buffalo 716ers. Buffalo bested the Jackals by 5 points 92-87 at home, winning their first ever play-off game. Buffalo's superstar point guard Jonny Marsh (6'0''-PG-90, college: Edinboro) led the way with 24 points and earned player of the game honors.
'These guys showed determination in this victory. They weren't going to let anything or anyone get in their way. We've got one goal, to bring the PBL championship to Buffalo,' said Buffalo 716ers head coach Mario Williams .
The Buffalo 716ers will head to face the number one seed Rochester RazorSharks at Blue Cross Arena on Sunday, April 16 afternoon at 2:05 PM.
Meanwhile in the Midwest we had another thriller between the number two seed Lake Michigan and the number three seed Indianapolis. The Lake Michigan Admirals pulled away at the end to defeat the Indianapolis Diesels by two points 93-91. The Diesels and Admirals were tied 2-2 during their regular season contests heading in to this game. Unfortunately for Indianapolis, the Admirals hit a late game-winning field goal to put them up by 2 points and become victorious in the fifth and final meeting between the two teams this past weekend.
