August 20th, The Madison County Mambas hosted Trained To Eat (TTE) at The Monrovia Community Center In Huntsville, AL. TTE would pick up the win in a close game (107-104).
For Trained To Eat, The PBA 2021 Scoring Champ George Stanberry (6'1''-SG, college: Volunteer St., agency: PBAplayers Agency) finished with a season high 66 points along with 5 rebounds in a terrific scoring outing.
Stanberry had the green light from his team and coaches, shooting 24/40 TFG, 12/20 from three, and 6/6 FT.
Also for TTE, Steven Anderson finished with 14 points, 7 rebounds, 1 steal, & 1 block.
Steven Anderson shot 7/12 TFG and 0/2 from three.
Daryl Thompson (C) for TTE finished with 8 points, 2 rebounds, & 1 block.
Daryl Thompson shot 4/8 TFG, 0/1 from three, and 0/2 FT.
For The Madison County Mambas, they were led by Xa'Vavier Jones (G) who led the Mambas in scoring with 29 points. Xa'Vavier Jones also finished with 5 rebounds, 2 assist, 1 steal, & block.
Xa'Vavier Jones shot 8/16 TFG, 4/10 from three, and 9/9 FT.
Also for The Mambas, Jaylon Merritt finished with 22 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assist, & 1 block.
Merritt shot 8/14 TFG, 4/7 from three, and 2/2 FT.
Tyler Sharp (11 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assist, & 3 steals) and Micah Gilbert (11 points, 3 rebounds, & 3 assist) also played well for Madison County.
