RWE tabs Mathias Vazquez

Mathias Vazquez

RWE signed 17-year-old Brazilian international 6-7 swingman Mathias Vazquez for the upcoming season. He has played for the last two years at Real Betis Baloncesto Sevilla 2nd team in Spanish 1Div. In 20 Tercera FEB games, he averaged an impressive 17.7ppg, 8.0rpg, 3.8apg, 1.9spg, and 1.0bpg last season. He also played for another Spanish team Real Betis Energia Plus Sevilla U19 team (Tercera FEB) in Spanish.
Vazquez has been a member of the Brazilian international program for some years. He has been regularly called to the Brazilian senior team since 2024 and for the U22 National Team last year.
Vazquez has played in Germany and Brazil (Corinthians, Minas, and Bauru). He was part of the Adidas Next Generation Tournament in Munich All-Tournament Team in 2025.
