Quin Snyder and the Atlanta Hawks have agreed to a multiyear contract extension. Snyder was hired by the Hawks as head coach during the 2022-23 season. Snyder led the Hawks to a 46-36 record and forced the New York Knicks to six games in the first round following their trade of Trae Young as they reset the roster around Jalen Johnson and Nickeil Alexander-Walker. Snyder left the Utah Jazz after the 2021-22 season as they initiated a rebuild trading away Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell. The Hawks also promoted Onsi Saleh to president of basketball operations and signed him to a long-term contract extension this offseason as they stabilize their leadership. The Hawks have the eighth overall pick in this month's draft.
