The Detroit Pistons re-signed 26-year-old 6-9 forward Paul Reed Jr. from DePaul for the new season. He played there last season. In 50 NBA games, he averaged 4.0ppg and 2.8rpg. For the two previous seasons (2022-24), he played for the 76ers. Earlier that season, he also played for the 76ers, where in 89 NBA games he had 6.9ppg, 5.7rpg, and 1.2apg in the 2023-24 year.
In 2020, he was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers in the second round (58th overall). Reed graduated from De Paul University, and it will be his sixth season in pro basketball.
He has played ppg for Delaware Blue Coats.
In 2021, Reed won the NBA Atlantic Division championship title. He also received the USBasket.com All-NBA G League Player of the Year award and the USBasket.com All-NBA G League Rookie of the Year award during the same year.
