Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Moncton. Top-ranked Thunder faced 3rd ranked Mystics. Guests from Halifax (6-0) defeated host Mystics (4-3) 85-79. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Mystics. Halifax T. made 24-of-31 free shots (77.4 percent) during the game, while Moncton only scored eight points from the stripe. Halifax T. looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Halifax T. made 8 blocks. Forward Elizabeth Beals-Iseyemi (183) fired 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Center Kali Grootenboer (196-2004) chipped in 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks. Maddie Eustace produced 25 points and 4 steals for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Halifax T. maintains first position with 6-0 record. Moncton at the other side keeps the third place with three games lost. They share the position with Lake City. Halifax T. are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Truro Tidal Queens (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Moncton will play against Miramichi H. (#7) and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.

Worth to mention a great performance of Charlee Connors (175) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds. Eden Searles contributed with 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Miramichi H.'s coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Nykeva Wilson-Brown replied with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 13 rebounds for Truro Tidal Queens. Miramichi H. maintains seventh position with 1-7 record. Truro Tidal Queens at the other side still closes the standings with seven games lost. Miramichi H. will play against higher ranked Moncton (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Truro Tidal Queens will play against the league's leader Halifax T. (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.

Halifax T. will meet bottom-ranked Truro Tidal Queens (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Miramichi H. will play against Moncton and hope to win that game.

Port City Fog was defeated by Fredericton in a road game 76-61. Halifax smashed Lake City at home 80-54. Winless Truro Tidal Queens were destroyed by Moncton on the opponent's court 92-70.

Fredericton F. - Port City Fog 76-61

There was a minor upset in Fredericton where one of their biggest challengers Fog (3-3) was defeated by sixth ranked Freeze (3-2) 76-61 on Thursday. Fredericton forced 20 Port City Fog turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Ann Bastien (173) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 4 steals and swingman Allie McCarthy (183, college: N.Dakota) who added 12 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side forward Clancy Macintyre (188) responded with 11 points and 7 rebounds and guard Neve Pearson scored 12 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Fredericton moved-up to fifth place. Loser Fog dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. Fredericton will meet at home higher ranked Lake City (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Port City Fog will play against the league's second-placed Halifax and hope to secure a win.
