An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Moncton. Top-ranked Thunder faced 3rd ranked Mystics. Guests from Halifax (6-0) defeated host Mystics (4-3) 85-79. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Mystics. Halifax T. made 24-of-31 free shots (77.4 percent) during the game, while Moncton only scored eight points from the stripe. Halifax T. looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Halifax T. made 8 blocks. Forward Elizabeth Beals-Iseyemi (183) fired 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Center Kali Grootenboer (196-2004) chipped in 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks. Maddie Eustace produced 25 points and 4 steals for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Halifax T. maintains first position with 6-0 record. Moncton at the other side keeps the third place with three games lost. They share the position with Lake City. Halifax T. are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Truro Tidal Queens (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Moncton will play against Miramichi H.
