Michigan Avengers are MBL 2021 Champions - Jun 29, 2021

The Michigan Avengers are your 2020-21 Maximum Basketball League Champions! The Avengers were one of the last four teams left this weekend! They had a hard battle in the first half in the semi-finals against the Cincinnati Crush before pulling away in the second half and winning the game 119-89 to advance to the finals.
The finals were like to heavyweight boxers throwing haymakers and neither could pull away until the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter, DFW Just Hoops led the Michigan Avengers 91-77 with 7:37 left. It looked as DFW had complete control of the game and it was over for Michigan. This game looked as the players are the ones who pulled this one out. G- Mikquell Jackson (6'1''-G, college: King) (23 points) started to show why is this years MVP as he took over scoring 8 straight points under 4 minutes left and G/F- Reshard Harris (6'6''-F, college: Benedictine, KS) (20 points) added 3 straight buckets, with 2 of them being and-ones and knocking down the free throws! F- Dayon Haynes lead the Avengers with 31 points

The Avengers eventually won the game 109-104. They are already working on repeating next season, and Rightfully so! No champion looks to start next season and not be on the big stage again!

Xavier Ledet (6'4''-G-95, college: UTPB)- 40 points
Richard McCalop (6'8''-PG, college: USAO) 23 points
Renard Green (6'0''-G-95, college: Langston) 19 points

League MVP - Apr 20, 2021

6'2" G-Mikquell Jackson (6'1''-G, college: King) (Michigan Avengers Basketball) is the Maximum Basketball League regular season MVP. He led his team to an undefeated record in the regular season while being a leader, on and off the court. Jackson averaged 25.9ppg, 1.8stl, and 3.4rpg. Mikquell is a lead by example guard that can not only speed past his defender, but also post up. He is a matchup nightmare for anyone in the league. Look for Jackson and the Avengers to make a championship run!
