Top Western Nebraska Community College alumni playing currently pro basketball

We bring you last week's top former Cougars players who are currently playing in pro basketball.
#1. New Zealand's Eva Langton, a 6'1'' guard/forward aged 27, who graduated from TAMIU in 2022 and previously played in W.Nebraska between 2018 and 2019 before turning pro in Australia, played a crucial role in guiding the Mount Gambier Pioneers to a resounding victory over the 19th-ranked Hawks (1-12) in the Australian NBL One North, the second division of Australian basketball, during a game on Friday night. The Pioneers dominated the Hawks with a final score of 76-42.
Langton contributed 5 points and 2 rebounds in 20 minutes of play, showcasing her talent and determination on the court. Her stellar performance was key in securing the win for her team, highlighting her abilities as a true champion. The Mount Gambier Pioneers, currently holding an 7-6 record, are positioned eighth in the South group standings.
Against Ringwood H., Langton's impressive 5 points and 2 rebounds were instrumental in leading her team to another victory. Her consistent contributions demonstrate her value as a key player for the Pioneers. Throughout this season, Langton has maintained an average of 6.1 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game in the 10 games she has participated in so far.
#2. Tishara Morehouse, a 27-year-old guard standing at 5'3'' and an Eagles alumni from 2023, has been making waves in the basketball world. Despite previously playing in W.Nebraska between 2019 and 2020, she has now taken her skills to the professional level in Australia. In a recent game, Morehouse played a crucial role in leading the Hobart Chargers to a surprising victory over the sixth-ranked Ballarat Miners in the Australian NBL One North league.
During the game, Morehouse displayed her talent by scoring an impressive 23 points, grabbing 4 rebounds, and dishing out 4 assists, while also recording 5 steals in 38 minutes of play. This remarkable performance is even more noteworthy considering it is only Morehouse's third season in professional basketball. Her stellar contribution on the court was instrumental in securing the victory for her team, showcasing her skills and determination. This victory ultimately led the Hobart Chargers to triumph as the champion.
Morehouse has been having an exceptional year individually, with impressive statistics to match her on-court prowess. She is averaging 16.8 points per game, 3.7 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 2.1 steals in the 13 games she has played so far. Her consistent performance and standout abilities have undoubtedly made her a key player for the Hobart Chargers and a force to be reckoned with in the league.
