Here is the weekly review of the top performing Cougars alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.

#1. Phil Fayne II, a 29-year-old center/forward standing at 6'9", graduated from Illinois State in 2019 but previously played for W.Nebraska between 2015 and 2016. Currently playing professionally in Poland, he recently led Zastal BC Zielona Gora to a decisive victory against the second-ranked Wilki Morskie with a score of 84-70 in the Polish Orlen Basket Liga. In Monday night's game, he showcased his skills by contributing 11 points in just 18 minutes of play, proving instrumental in his team's success. Zastal BC Zielona Gora, currently ranked eighth in the league with a record of 16-14, owes much of its recent success to Fayne II's impressive performance on the court. Against King, he not only scored 11 points but also secured 3 rebounds, solidifying his reputation as a champion player. Throughout the season, Fayne II has maintained an average of 7.3 points per game and 3.7 rebounds per game in the 35 games he has played so far, further establishing himself as a key player in the league. It is worth noting that Fayne II is a naturalized American player whose talent and dedication have made a significant impact on his team's performance, highlighting his capabilities as a finalist in any competition he participates in.

#2. Experienced Mexican champion Raul Delgado, a 6'3'' guard who is 34 years old, is an alumnus of the Roadrunners from 2014. However, he played in W.Nebraska between 2010 and 2011 before starting his professional career in Mexico. In the recent game, Delgado could not assist Halcones de Ciudad Obregon (23-17) in securing a victory. Despite his solid performance, Obregon was narrowly defeated 93-91 on the road by the lower-ranked (#4) Tijuana Zonkeys. Delgado contributed 10 points and 5 rebounds in 25 minutes of play. With only three games remaining in the Regular Season, each game becomes increasingly crucial for the team. Delgado displayed his skills against Tijuana by scoring 10 points, grabbing 5 rebounds, and providing 1 assist. Although he performed well, his team ultimately fell short in securing the win. Throughout this year, Delgado has been averaging 3.2 points per game and 1.2 rebounds per game across 11 games. Despite the challenging season, Delgado continues to showcase his dedication and talent on the court.

#3. Vinnie Shahid, a 5'11'' point guard who graduated from NDSU in 2020, previously played for W.Nebraska and was instrumental in helping them win the NJCAA D1 District IX Champion title in 2018. Currently playing professionally in Germany, Shahid recently made his debut for HAKRO Merlins Crailsheim. In a tough match against the Giessen 46ers, Shahid displayed his skills by scoring 11 points and grabbing 1 rebound in just 17 minutes of play. Despite his solid performance, Crailsheim suffered a significant 87-70 defeat to the lower-ranked 46ers. This season, Shahid has been putting up decent numbers, averaging 12.6 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game in 29 appearances. While he continues to make valuable contributions to his team, he will strive to further elevate his game and help HAKRO Merlins Crailsheim achieve success in future matchups.

#4. Teddy Allen, a 6'6'' guard and 27-year-old Aggies alum from 2022, previously playing in W. Nebraska between 2019 and 2020 before turning pro in Canada, showcased his skills in the recent game for the Winnipeg Sea Bears (2-1). Despite his remarkable performance, the Winnipeg Sea Bears were narrowly defeated 103-101 by the Shooting Stars in Toronto. Allen proved to be the standout player of the game, leading all scorers with 33 points while also contributing 8 rebounds and 4 assists during his 38 minutes on the court. Although the Sea Bears fell short in this match, it is still early in the season, and there is potential for their fortunes to change as they progress. In a previous game against Scarborough, Allen displayed another impressive performance, recording 33 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists. Despite his exceptional efforts, his team was unable to secure the win on that occasion as well. Individually, Teddy Allen has been having a stellar season, boasting impressive statistics. He currently holds an average of 26.3 points per game (the third-best in the league), along with 8.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 3.0 steals per game (also the third-best in the league) across three games. With such impressive numbers, Allen continues to prove himself as a champion on the court.

#5. Cuban Marlon Sierra is a 6'7'' forward/center, 28 years old, who graduated from BGSU in 2020. He previously played for W. Nebraska between 2016 and 2018, where he notably helped them win the NJCAA D1 District IX Champion title. Currently, Sierra plays professionally in the TBL. In a recent game, Sierra led the Glass City Wranglers to a dominant victory against the Hamilton County Huskers with a final score of 147-87. Despite only playing for 18 minutes, Sierra managed to score 14 points and grab 7 rebounds. This performance highlighted his impact on the court as a crucial player for his team. Although the Glass City Wranglers hold an 11-7 record this season, Sierra's contributions have been significant. With impressive season averages of 11.8 points per game and 8.2 rebounds per game in 14 appearances, Sierra has proven himself as a valuable asset to his team. It is important to note that Sierra possesses both American and Cuban citizenship, allowing him the flexibility to play in Cuba as a domestic player. His versatility and talent on the court make him a standout player and a true champion. The upcoming game for his team in the TBL Regular Season will be crucial, and Sierra's skills and experience will be essential in their pursuit of success.
