We bring you last week's top former Cougars players who are currently playing in pro basketball.
#1. Nighael Ceaser, a 26-year-old forward standing at 6'8'', graduated from Texas State in 2023. He previously played for Collin Community College between 2018 and 2020, where he received the NJCAA All-Region V Team award. Currently, he is playing professionally in Romania.
In a recent game for U-Banca Transilvania Cluj Napoca, Ceaser played a crucial role in their victory against the fourth-ranked Craiova with a score of 85-75 in the Romanian Liga Nationala Baschet de Masculin. During the game, he showcased his skills by scoring 9 points and grabbing 11 rebounds in just 22 minutes of play.
U-Banca Transilvania Cluj Napoca is currently leading in the Joins LN second stage group, with Ceaser making significant contributions in his first season with the team. His remarkable performance against Craiova highlights his potential as a champion on the court.
Throughout this season, Ceaser has been averaging 7.3 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.5 steals per game, demonstrating his versatility and impact as a finalist in every match.
#2. Trazarien White, standing at 6'6'' and a former Horned Frogs alumni from 2025, transitioned through Collin CC between 2020 and 2020 before embarking on his professional basketball career in Australia. Despite his impressive performance, White, a standout player, could not lead the Knox Raiders (7-3) to victory in their recent game. The fourth-placed Knox Raiders were defeated 101-94 by the much lower-ranked Northern Force (#17) in the South group last Saturday.
During the game, White showcased his skills by scoring 18 points and grabbing 6 rebounds in 36 minutes, making him the second-highest scorer for the team. Despite his notable contributions, the Knox Raiders fell short against the Northern Force.
Throughout the season, White has maintained outstanding individual performance with remarkable statistics. He currently averages 23.9 points per game, ranking third best in the league, along with 6.3 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 2.0 steals per game. Despite the recent loss, White's consistency and impressive stats portray him as a true champion on the court.
