Here is the weekly review of the top performing Bears alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.

#1. Tray Buchanan, a 6'2'' guard who graduated from Emporia State in 2022, has been making a name for himself in the professional basketball scene in Germany. Despite playing for Des Moines A. between 2018 and 2019, Buchanan has now found a place in the German easyCredit BBL. Recently, he suited up for MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg but faced a tough challenge against the s Oliver Baskets in a game where his team suffered a 75-58 loss on the road. In the matchup, Buchanan, although talented, was only able to contribute 4 points in 13 minutes of gameplay. This defeat marked MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg's third consecutive loss, emphasizing the importance of every remaining game in the Regular Season. Despite his efforts in a game against Wuerzburg, where he scored 4 points and grabbed 1 rebound, his team still fell short of victory. Throughout the season, Buchanan has maintained solid statistics, averaging 14.9 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game in the 28 games he has played so far. As he continues to showcase his skills on the court, Buchanan aims to lead his team to success and prove himself as a champion in the competitive world of professional basketball.

#2. Australian champion Jack Ticic, a 6'9'' forward and Statesmen alumnus from 2025, previously played for Des Moines A. between 2022 and 2023 before turning professional in Australia. Despite his best efforts, Ticic could not lead the Penrith Panthers (1-6) to a victory over the Spiders (1-7) in the Australian NBL One, the second division. In a hard-fought match, he managed to score 6 points, grab 4 rebounds, and provide 1 assist in 17 minutes of play. Unfortunately, the 14th-placed Penrith Panthers suffered a 61-76 defeat to the lower-ranked Spiders (#15) in the East group, despite Ticic's commendable performance. His current season averages stand at 5.1 points per game and 4.4 rebounds per game in seven matches.
