Every week we bring you a list of the top former Chaparrals players who continue their career in pro basketball.
#1. Dontay Caruthers (6'1''-G-1995, played in 2014-15, plays pro in Poland) managed to help Dziki Warszawa to win against the 13th-ranked MKS (2-4) 96-93 in the Polish OBL on Sunday night.
He scored only 2 points and added 11 passes in 26 minutes.
Dziki Warszawa (3-4) is placed ninth in the OBL.
But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen.
This year Caruthers averages 9.1ppg, 3.0rpg and 6.7apg.
#2. Norbertas Giga (6'10''-F/C-1995, played in 2015-16, plays in Lithuania) could not help Silute (4-7) in their last game. Despite Giga's very good performance Silute was edged84-83 at home by the much higher-ranked (#4) Vytis.
He had a double-double by scoring 17 points and getting 11 rebounds. Giga also added 4 assists.
It was Silute's third consecutive loss in a row.
But the season just started, so everything may happen.
It's Giga's first year with the team.
He has relatively good stats this season 13.3ppg, 9.2rpg and 3.0apg in nine games he played so far.
#3. Daeshon Francis (6'4''-G-1996, played in 2015-16, currently in Israel) contributed to a Bnei Hertzeliya's victory against the league outsider M.Rishon (1-4) 95-90 in the Israeli Winner League last Thursday.
Francis scored only 2 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 19 minutes.
Bnei Ofek Dist Hertzeliya (1-3) is placed 11th in the Winner League.
It was his team's first victory after three consecutive loses.
But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen.
This season Francis averages 6.3ppg, 4.3rpg and 2.5apg.
#4. Ilija Varajic (6'6''-F-2002, played in 2024-25, plays pro in Montenegro) helped his Montenegrin team Sutjeska win their game against one of league's weakest teams Radnicki KG (0-3) 88-78 in the ABA League on Monday night.
Varajic scored only 2 points.
KK Sutjeska Niksic (3-0) is placed first in the ABA League.
So far his team won all three games in the Regular Season.
This year Varajic averages 3.3ppg in three games.
#5. Thomas Miles (6'3''-G-1998, played in 2019-20, plays in Lithuania) led P.Olimpas to a 2-point victory against the closely-ranked Silute (4-7) 90-88 in the Lithuanian NKL (second division) in Thursday night's game.
He scored 12 points in 29 minutes.
Plunges Olimpas (3-9) is placed second from the bottom (#16) in the NKL.
It was his team's first victory after seven consecutive loses.
Miles has relatively good stats this season 13.0ppg, 2.3rpg, 2.4apg and 1.8spg.
#6. Torren Jones (6'9''-F/C-1994, played in 2014-15, currently in Lebanon), who plays in the Lebanese DLBL was not able to help one of league's weakest teams NSA (2-3) in their last game. Despite Jones' very good performance NSA was badly defeated103-86 on the road by the higher-ranked (#5) Maristes.
He was the second best scorer with 20 points. Jones also added 8 rebounds.
Jones has relatively good stats this year 13.6ppg and 7.0rpg in five games.
