Every week we bring you a list of the top former Sharks players who continue their career in pro basketball.
#1. Shane Rector (6'2''-G-1994, played in 2014-15, plays pro in Qatar) led Al Shamal to a victory over the closely-ranked Al Sadd (3-2) 82-72 in a derby game in the Qatari QBL in Thursday night's game.
He was MVP of the game. Rector scored 22 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished 9 assists in 40 minutes.
Al Shamal Doha (3-2) is placed fourth in the QBL.
There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical.
Rector has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 30.4ppg, 5.8rpg, 7.2apg and 1.6spg in five games he played so far.
#2. Experienced Maurice Kemp (6'8''-PF-1991, played in 2010-11, plays in Lebanon) was the major contributor in a Al Riyadi's victory against the sixth-ranked Sagesse (0-2) 87-80 in a derby game in the West Asia Super League last Wednesday.
He recorded 20 points and grabbed 8 rebounds.
Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut (2-0) is placed second in the West Asia Super League.
This season Kemp has very high stats. He averages 15.5ppg, 8.0rpg and 2.0apg.
#3. Elio Corazza (6'5''-PG-1989, played in 2006-10, currently in Brazil) contributed to an easy victory against the ninth-ranked UNIFACISA (4-3) crushing them 105-75 in the Brazilian NBB on Saturday night.
He recorded 13 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists in 25 minutes.
Sport Club Corinthians Paulista (10-4) is placed second in the NBB.
This year Corazza averages 8.4ppg, 3.4rpg, 9.0apg and 1.4spg in eight games.
#4. Ricardo Lynch (6'7''-F-1998, played in 2016-17, plays pro in Germany) could not help Bayer Giants Leverkusen (6-0) in their last game on Sunday. Despite his very good performance Bayer Giants Leverkusen was crushed97-71 on the road by the lower-ranked 46ers (#7).
Lynch was the top scorer with 16 points. He also added 7 rebounds.
But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen.
It's Lynch's first year with the team.
Lynch has relatively good stats this season 11.4ppg and 3.6rpg.
#5. Marko Krivacevic (6'10''-F-1996, played in 2015-17, plays in Hungary) managed to help Atomeromu SE Paks in a victory against the closely-ranked Duna Aszfalt (4-5) 81-72 in the Hungarian A Division last Saturday.
Krivacevic scored only one point in 11 minutes.
Atomeromu SE Paks (5-2) is placed fifth in the A Division.
But the season just started, so everything may happen.
It's Krivacevic's first year with the team.
This season he averages 4.0ppg and 3.3rpg in seven games.
#6. Jahmal Abbey-Wright (6'5''-G/F-1998, played in 2017-19, currently in Albania) was the main contributor in Teuta's victory against the ninth-ranked Elbasani 97-85 in the Albanian Superliga on Monday night.
Abbey-Wright was MVP of the game. He scored 24 points, had 9 rebounds and dished 3 assists.
This season Abbey-Wright has very high stats. He averages 17.0ppg, 5.2rpg, 1.8apg and 1.7spg.
#7. Victor Hart (6'8''-F-2001, played in 2019-21, plays pro in Japan) contributed to a Shinagawa City Basketball Club's surprising victory against the league leader Gambarous 97-93 in the Japanese B3 League in Saturday night's game.
Hart had a double-double by scoring 31 points and getting 14 rebounds. He also added 3 assists and 5 steals (went 11 for 11 at the free throw line !!!) in 35 minutes.
Hart has very impressive stats this year 20.4ppg, 9.9rpg, 3.2apg, 1.3bpg and 2.3spg in nine games.
#8. Cedric Belemene (6'7''-F-1996, played in 2016-18, plays in Spain) helped Tijola win their game against the ninth-ranked Marbella crushing them 103-81 in the Spanish Tercera FEB (fourth division) last Saturday.
Belemene scored 16 points and grabbed 8 rebounds.
He has relatively good stats this season 14.8ppg, 8.8rpg, 1.3apg and 1.7spg.
