Every week we bring you a list of the top former Vaqueros players who continue their career in pro basketball.
#1. Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser (6'7''-F-1994, played in 2013-15, plays pro in Philippines) contributed to a TNT Tropang's victory against the league outsider Terrafirma Dyip (1-5) 109-95 in the Filipino PBA in Friday night's game.
He scored 6 points and blocked 2 shots in 20 minutes.
Talk N Text Tropang Giga (6-1) is placed first in the PBA.
It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row.
There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical.
This year Ganuelas-Rosser averages 8.8ppg and 3.2rpg in six games he played so far.
He is a naturalized Filipino.
#2. Rich Polanco (6'8''-F-1997, played in 2019-19, plays in Dominican Republic) could not help Puerto Plata (4-5) in their last game on Friday. Despite his very good performance Puerto Plata was edged72-70 at home by the second-ranked Santiago Max.
Polanco was the top scorer with 20 points. He also added 8 rebounds and dished 5 assists.
There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial.
Polanco has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 16.9ppg, 8.6rpg, 6.5apg and 1.1spg.
#3. Michael Nwabuzor (6'2''-G-1996, played in 2014-16, currently in France), who plays in the French NM1 (third division) was not able to help Lyon (5-6) in their last game. Despite his good performance the ninth-placed Lyon (5-6) was edged74-72 on the road by the lower-ranked (#12) Pays Salonais in the Group B.
Nwabuzor was the second best scorer with 12 points. He also added 4 assists and 4 steals in 29 minutes.
It's Nwabuzor's first season with the team.
Nwabuzor has relatively good stats this year 14.3ppg, 3.3rpg, 4.8apg and 1.4spg in 11 games.
He is a naturalized Nigerian.
Worth to mention Nwabuzor played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.
#4. Shakeil Bertrand (6'8''-F, played in 2019-21, plays pro in Guatemala) led Solola to an easy victory against the closely-ranked El Progreso (4-1) crushing them 91-71 in the Guatemalan Liga Metropolitana (second division) in Wednesday night's game.
He scored 12 points and grabbed 6 rebounds.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Solola AsoBasketis placed fourth in the Liga Metropolitana.
It's Bertrand's first season with the team.
Bertrand has relatively good stats this year 13.2ppg and 8.0rpg.
