We bring you last week's top former Cougars players who are currently playing in pro basketball.
#1. Marvin Jones (7'0''-C-1993, played in 2013-14, plays pro in Greece). He could not help one of league's weakest teams PAOK (3-1) to beat Braunschweig (3-1) in the FIBA Europe Cup.
Jones scored 8 points in 24 minutes.
PAOK lost 79-88 on the road to the leading Braunschweig.
There are only two games left until the end of the FIBA Europe Cup Regular Season. So now every game will be critical.
This year Jones averages 9.0ppg and 4.5rpg in four games he played so far.
#2. Andrew Lewis (6'3''-G-1998, played in 2018-19, plays in Georgia) led Iverioni to a 2-point victory over the seventh-ranked Rustavi (2-3) 86-84 in the Georgian Superleague last Sunday.
Lewis was MVP of the game. He recorded 21 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Lewis' third season in pro basketball. BC Iverioni Gori (3-1) is placed second in the Superleague.
It's Lewis' first year with the team.
He has individually a very good season with high stats. Lewis averages 18.5ppg, 5.5rpg, 4.0apg and 1.8spg.
#3. Brandon Hill (6'1''-G-2000, played in 2021-22, currently in Montenegro), who plays in the Montenegrin Erste Liga was not able to help Vukovi Zeta (1-3) in their last game. Despite Hill's good performance Vukovi Zeta lost 72-80 at home to the higher-ranked (#8) Lovcen.
He was the second best scorer with 12 points. Hill also added 5 rebounds and 4 assists in 31 minutes.
It was Vukovi Zeta's third consecutive loss in a row.
But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen.
It's Hill's first year with the team.
He has relatively good stats this season 13.8ppg, 6.0rpg, 3.5apg and 1.8spg in four games.
#4. Sean Clancey (6'2''-G-1995, played in 2015-16, plays pro in Portugal) was not able to secure a victory for one of league's weakest teams Vasco da Gama (1-3) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his good performance Vasco da Gama was defeated 84-74 on their home court in Porto by the higher-ranked Braga (#9).
Clancey was the second best scorer with 14 points.
But the season just started, so everything may happen.
It's Clancey's first year with the team.
This season he has very high stats. Clancey averages 19.5ppg, 7.0rpg, 2.0apg and 2.3spg.
#5. Gerard Hadidian (6'8''-PF-1995, played in 2014-15, plays in Lebanon) couldn't help Sagesse (0-1) in their game against Gorgan (1-0) in the West Asia Super League.
Hadidian scored 9 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and made 2 blocks in 19 minutes. It was his first game for Sagesse this season.
But Sagesse lost 92-97 on their home court in Beirut to the leading Gorgan.
#6. Experienced Michael Ochereobia (6'3''-F-1989, played in 2009-11, currently in United Kingdom) managed to help B.Braun Sheffield Sharks to win against the closely-ranked Flyers 76-69 in the British SLB on Sunday night.
Ochereobia recorded only 2 points and grabbed 4 rebounds.
This season Ochereobia averages 4.1ppg and 3.1rpg.
He has also British nationality.
#7. Ante Sustic (6'10''-C
-1997, played in 2016-18, plays pro in Croatia) couldn't help Djakovo in their game against Mladost ZG in the Croatian Prva Liga (second division).
Sustic recorded only 4 points in 15 minutes.
His team lost 81-89.
Sustic has relatively good stats this year 11.3ppg and 5.3rpg in four games.

Luka Barisic (6'10''-F-1998, played in 2017-19) played for Siroki in Bosnia and Herzegovina Division I
Milos Kovacevic (6'8''-F-2002, played in 2022-23) signed for Borac BL in Bosnia and Herzegovina Division I
Moshawn Thomas (6'10''-F, played in 2010-14) played for Chicago Fury in the ABA
Vuk Stevanic (6'8''-C-2000, played in 2018-20) signed for Toledo in Spanish Segunda FEB
Victor Nwagbaraocha (6'3''-G-1999, played in 2019-22) signed for Amphora in Croatian Prva Liga
Ayinde Smith (5'10''-PG, played in 2020-21) plays for Team New York in the Eurobasket S.League
Brandon Wood (6'2''-G-1989, played in 2008-09) plays for Shield 219 in the The Basketball Tournament
Giovanni Offard (6'1''-G-1997, played in 2016-17) played for Gateway Bison in the ABA
Nick Fleming (6'1''-PG-1997, played in 2019-20) plays for Wenatchee Bighorns in the TBL
