EuroBasket Pro Tigers Weekly Update

Every week we bring you a list of the top former Tigers players who continue their career in pro basketball.

   #1. Experienced Will Clyburn (6'7''-F-1990, played in 2008-10, plays pro in Spain) led FC Barcelona Lassa to a victory over the 15th-ranked Breogan Lugo (1-3) 100-85 in the Spanish Liga Endesa on Saturday night. He was MVP of the game. Clyburn recorded 21 points in a mere 18 minutes. FC Barcelona Lassa (2-2) is placed ninth in the Liga Endesa. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Clyburn has relatively good stats this year 13.8ppg, 5.3rpg, 1.8apg and 1.3spg.

   #2. Luis Valera (6'7''-F/C-1988, played in 2006-08, plays in Spain) could not help Guadalajara (2-2) in their last game. Despite Valera's good performance the tenth-placed Guadalajara (2-2) lost 60-74 at home to the higher-ranked (#6) Telde in the Group B-B. He was the second best scorer with 11 points. Valera also added 9 rebounds. But the season just started, so everything may happen. Valera has relatively good stats this year 10.3ppg, 6.0rpg, 1.5apg and 1.8spg in four games he played so far.

   #3. Eric Bras Amandio (6'3''-G-1998, played in 2019-20, currently in Spain) was the main contributor in Santander's victory against the ninth-ranked Indautxu (2-3) 84-71 in the Spanish Tercera FEB (fourth division) last Saturday. He was MVP of the game. Amandio scored 28 points (!!!), grabbed 8 boards, passed 3 assists and added 3 steals in 35 minutes. CDE Becedo Santander (3-2) is placed seventh in Group A-A. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. It's Amandio's first year with the team. He has individually a very good season with high stats. Amandio averages 22.0ppg, 7.2rpg, 6.8apg and 3.4spg.

   #4. Denzel Ubiaro (6'3''-G-1997, played in 2015-16, plays pro in United Kingdom) was not able to help Bristol Hurricanes (0-4) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the fourth-placed Bristol Hurricanes (0-4) lost 78-89 on the road to the leading Thunder in the Group 2. Ubiaro was the second best scorer with 15 points. He also added 5 rebounds. So far Bristol Hurricanes lost all four games in the Regular Season. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. Ubiaro has relatively good stats this year 14.7ppg, 2.7rpg and 1.7spg in three games. He has also British nationality.

   #5. Darren Ainembabazi (6'0''-PG-2001, played in 2021-22, plays in United Kingdom) contributed to a 3-point London Cavaliers' victory against the second-ranked Trailblazers (2-2) 93-90 in the British BCB (second division) in Saturday night's game. Ainembabazi scored 8 points in only 13 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in Group 1. London Cavaliers (3-2) is placed third. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. It's Ainembabazi's first year with the team. This season he averages 5.0ppg and 1.2rpg.

   #6. Kuo-Hao Kao (5'11''-PG-1998, played in 2017-18, currently in Taiwan) managed to help Hsinchu Lioneers in a victory against the closely-ranked Aquas 101-82 in the Taiwanese TPBL last Sunday. Kao scored 5 points and added 3 assists. It was his first game for Lioneers this season.

   #7. Nuha Sagnia (6'10''-F-2000, played in 2020-22, plays pro in Spain) contributed to an easy victory against the ninth-ranked Jaen CB crushing them 86-64 in the Spanish Segunda FEB (third division) on Sunday night. He recorded 8 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in only 14 minutes. This season Sagnia averages 4.0ppg, 2.3rpg and 1.3bpg.
