EuroBasket Pro Apaches Weekly Update

Every week we bring you a list of the top former Apaches players who continue their career in pro basketball.

   #1. Kieffer Punter (6'5''-G-1999, played in 2018-20, plays pro in Cyprus). He could not help Digenis (3-2) to beat Apollon (1-4) in the Cypriot ECOMMBX BL. Punter recorded 5 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists in 31 minutes. Digenis was crushed101-73 on the road by the one of league's weakest teams (#9) Apollon. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Punter's first year with the team. He has relatively good stats this season 15.0ppg, 6.3rpg, 5.5apg and 1.5spg in four games he played so far.

   #2. Experienced Jaron Johnson (6'5''-SF-1992, played in 2010-12, plays in Turkey) was not able to help the league outsider Onvo Buyukcekmece Basketbol in their game against Tofas (3-3) in the Turkish BSL. He scored 6 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. The bottom-ranked Onvo Buyukcekmece Basketbol was crushed91-70 in Bursa by the much higher-ranked Tofas (#7). So far Onvo Buyukcekmece Basketbol lost all five games in the Regular Season. But the season just started, so everything may happen. This year Johnson averages 6.2ppg, 4.2rpg and 1.2apg.

   #3. Chandler Oriakhi (6'10''-C-1999, played in 2018-19, currently in Mozambique) contributed to an easy victory against the sixth-ranked Basket Hounds (0-4) crushing them 94-60 in the Basketball Africa League on Tuesday night. Oriakhi recorded 9 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 27 minutes. It was his first game for Fer.Beira this season. His team is placed first in the Basketball Africa League. So far Fer.Beira won all four games in the Regular Season. His team will play only one more game in the Basketball Africa League Regular Season. And that game will be critical. It's Oriakhi's first year with the team.

   #4. Jonathan Bryant II (6'3''-G-1998, played in 2018-19, plays pro in Montenegro) was not able to secure a victory for Susanj (0-1) in their game against Balkanski Ris (1-0) in the Montenegrin Prva B (second division). He recorded 8 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. It was his first game for Susanj this season. The bottom-ranked Susanj was defeated 74-65 in Plav by the leading Balkanski Ris. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen.

   #5. Shahada Wells (6'0''-SG-1999, played in 2018-20, plays in Greece) couldn't help Psychikou (4-1) in their game against GS Ermis Shimatariou (2-3) in the Greek Elite League (second division). He recorded 9 points and added 5 passes in 29 minutes. But Psychikou lost 71-76 at home to the much lower-ranked (#11) GS Ermis Shimatariou. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. It's Wells' first year with the team. Wells has relatively good stats this season 15.0ppg, 3.2rpg, 5.4apg and 1.6spg in five games.

   #6. Eden Ewing (6'9''-F/C-1997, played in 2015-17, currently in Nicaragua) was the major contributor in Flecheros' victory against one of league's weakest teams Leones 85-70 in the Nicaraguan LSB on Thursday night. Ewing recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 11 rebounds. He also added 6 assists. Ewing has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 15.6ppg, 9.2rpg, 4.3apg and 1.1bpg.

   #7. Daniel Edozie (6'8''-F-1992, played in 2011-13, plays pro in United Kingdom) couldn't help Bristol Hurricanes in their game against Thunder in the British BCB (second division). He scored 9 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in 21 minutes. His team lost 78-89. This year Edozie averages 8.7ppg, 9.0rpg and 1.3apg in three games.
