EuroBasket Pro Greuhounds Weekly Update

We bring you last week's top former Greuhounds players who are currently playing in pro basketball.

   #1. Alonzo Verge Jr (6'3''-G-1998, played in 2017-19, plays pro in Germany) could not help one of league's weakest teams Rasta Vechta (2-1) in their game last Wednesday. Despite his very good performance Rasta Vechta was defeated 105-94 on the road by the leading Sassari. Verge Jr scored 17 points, had 4 rebounds and dished 8 assists in 28 minutes. There are only three games left until the end of the FIBA Europe Cup Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Verge Jr's first season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year 14.4ppg, 3.4rpg, 6.8apg and 1.4spg.

   #2. Sean Miller-Moore (6'4''-G/F-1998, played in 2017-19, plays in France) was not able to help ALM Evreux Basket (2-6) in their last game. Despite his very good performance ALM Evreux Basket lost 78-84 in Rouen to the higher-ranked (#12) SPO Rouen. Miller-Moore was the top scorer with 24 points. He also added made 5 passes and 5 steals. It was ALM Evreux Basket's third consecutive loss in a row. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Miller-Moore has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 16.0ppg, 5.3rpg, 4.4apg and 1.3spg in eight games he played so far.

   #3. Dezmond Jones (5'10''-PG-2001, played in 2019-21, currently in Slovenia), who plays in the Slovenian Liga OTP banka was not able to secure a victory for Rogaska (2-2) in their game last Saturday. Despite Jones' very good performance Rogaska was defeated 78-71 at home by the lower-ranked Triglav (#8). He was the top scorer with 27 points. Jones also added 3 assists in 35 minutes. But the season just started, so everything may happen. It's Jones' first year with the team. This season he has very high stats. Jones averages 21.0ppg, 2.6rpg and 4.6apg.

   #4. Quatarrius Wilson (6'8''-C/F-1996, played in 2015-17, plays pro in Uruguay) was the major contributor in U.Atletica's victory against the league outsider Welcome (0-5) 84-68 in a derby game in the Uruguayan LUB on Thursday night. Wilson had a double-double by scoring 14 points and getting 12 rebounds. He also added 3 assists. Union Atletica Montevideo (3-2) is placed fourth in the LUB. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. It's Wilson's first season with the team. Wilson has very impressive stats this year 15.2ppg, 10.6rpg and 2.8apg in five games.

   #5. Lazar Grbovic (6'8''-F-2000, played in 2022-23, plays in Montenegro) couldn't help Mornar (1-1) in their game against Jahorina (1-1) in the ABA League. Grbovic recorded 6 points in 15 minutes. Mornar was defeated 91-77 in Pale by the lower-ranked Jahorina (#11). This season Grbovic averages 5.0ppg and 3.5rpg.

   #6. De'Marco Owens (6'8''-F/C-1996, played in 2015-17, currently in Brazil) managed to help Rio Claro Basquete in a 2-point victory against the 15th-ranked Paulistano 89-87 in the Brazilian NBB last Tuesday. Owens recorded only 4 points. It was his first game for Rio Claro this season. He is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.

   #7. Experienced Levente Juhos (6'9''-C/F-1991, played in 2007-11, plays pro in Hungary) led Phoenix-MT to a victory over the closely-ranked Hubner NBS crushing them 97-70 in the Hungarian B Red (second division) on Saturday night. He was MVP of the game. Juhos recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points and getting 14 rebounds. He also added 4 assists, 2 blocks and 3 steals in 32 minutes. Juhos has relatively good stats this season 12.0ppg, 9.8rpg, 3.8apg, 2.3bpg and 1.3spg.
