EuroBasket Pro Beavers Weekly Update

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Beavers alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.



   #1. Vladimir Brodziansky (6'11''-C/F-1994, played in 2014-15, plays pro in Spain) could not help Monbus Obradoiro CAB Santiago de Compostela (1-2) in their game last Sunday. Despite his good performance Monbus Obradoiro CAB Santiago de Compostela was defeated 92-83 on the road by the lower-ranked Zunder Palencia (#6). Brodziansky recorded 10 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists in 29 minutes. Brodziansky has relatively good stats this season 12.0ppg, 4.6rpg and 2.4apg.

   #2. Experienced Bryton Hobbs (6'0''-PG-1991, played in 2011-12, plays in Australia) led Dandenong Rangers to a 2-point victory over the second-ranked Pioneers (9-4) 98-96 in the Australian NBL One (second division) in Friday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Hobbs recorded 27 points (!!!), 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Dandenong Rangers (9-4) are placed fifth in South group. Hobbs has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 21.1ppg, 2.8rpg, 3.5apg and 1.4spg in 13 games he played so far.

   #3. A.J. Banks (6'2''-G-1997, played in 2016-18, currently in Venezuela) was not able to help Guaiqueries in their game against Pioneros (15-9) in the Venezuelan SPB. Banks scored 9 points and added 6 assists in 23 minutes. But the league leader Guaiqueries was edged70-69 at home by the second-ranked Pioneros. This season Banks averages 8.7ppg, 2.7rpg and 3.1apg. He is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.

   #4. D'Evon Andrews (6'6''-F-1996, played in 2016-18, plays pro in the TBL) contributed to an easy victory against the Tri-State Admirals (0-18) 103-84 in the TBL on Sunday night. Andrews scored 10 points. The Tri-City Tide has 9-11 record this season. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the TBL Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Andrews has very impressive stats this year 19.3ppg, 4.1rpg, 1.5apg and 1.5spg in 15 games.

Malcolm Helmstadter-Whitlow (6'1''-G, played in 2020-21) played for Residence in Luxembourg LBBL last year
Mory Correa (6'9''-C-1979, played in 2000-02) plays for Cambrai in French NM3
Jerome Bivins (6'8''-F-1999, played in 2018-19) played for Team Boston in the Eurobasket S.League last year
Damjan Simun (6'4''-G/F, played in 2024-25) plays for Akademik in Montenegrin Prva B
Dennis Jones (6'2''-G-1998, played in 2014-16) played for Texas 7ers in the TBL last year
Tyler Bourne (5'8''-PG-1999, played in 2018-19) plays for Connecticut Crusaders in the TBL
