EuroBasket Pro Panthers Weekly Update

We bring you last week's top former Panthers players who are currently playing in pro basketball.

   #1. Malik Curry (6'1''-G-1999, played in 2017-19, plays pro in Uruguay) could not help Defensor (12-15) in their last game. Despite his good performance the fifth-placed Defensor (12-15) lost 73-78 in a derby game to the higher-ranked (#3) Penarol in the Winners Stage group. Curry scored 13 points, made 6 passes and 6 steals (was perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line) in 39 minutes. It was Defensor's fourth consecutive loss in a row. It's Curry's first season with the team. He has individually a very good year with high stats. Curry averages 16.0ppg, 3.9rpg, 5.5apg and 1.4spg in 29 games he played so far.

   #2. Chier Maker (6'8''-F-1995, played in 2017-18, plays in Australia) was not able to help East Perth Eagles in their game against Magic (2-1) in the Australian NBL One (second division). Maker scored 9 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. But the 11th-placed East Perth Eagles (0-2) were defeated 114-109 on the road by the higher-ranked Magic (#5) in the West group. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Maker has relatively good stats this year 12.5ppg and 5.0rpg. He has also Australian citizenship.

   #3. Dante Moses (6'5''-G, played in 2018-19, currently in Albania) contributed to an easy victory against the seventh-ranked Elbasani (0-18) crushing them 140-58 in the Albanian Superliga on Saturday night. Moses recorded 8 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists in 20 minutes. Sport Klub Tirana Neptun (15-4) is placed second in the Superliga. His team will play only one more game in the Play-Out Round. And that game will be critical. Moses has very impressive stats this year 18.4ppg, 5.0rpg, 3.6apg and 1.6spg in five games.

   #4. Experienced Jeffrey Parmer (6'8''-F-1985, played in 2005-06, plays pro in Japan) led Shanan Utd to a victory over the league outsider Veertien Mie (8-42) 82-76 in the Japanese B3 League in Sunday night's game. Parmer was MVP of the game. He scored 19 points, grabbed 6 boards, passed 3 assists and added 4 steals. Shanan United (22-28) is placed 11th in the B3 League. It was his team's first victory after three consecutive loses. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. This season Parmer averages 8.8ppg, 4.3rpg, 2.2apg and 1.1spg.

   #5. Zachary Mogbo (6'7''-F-1998, played in 2017-19, plays in the TBL) contributed to an easy victory against the Savannah Buccaneers (3-7) crushing them 140-102 in the TBL last Thursday. Mogbo had a double-double by scoring 16 points and getting 14 rebounds. He also added 2 blocks in 31 minutes. The Jacksonville 95ers have not so impressive 2-10 record this season. Mogbo has relatively good stats this year 14.4ppg, 10.6rpg, 1.1apg and 1.3spg in seven games.
