EuroBasket Pro Conquistadors Weekly Update

We bring you last week's top former Conquistadors players who are currently playing in pro basketball.

   #1. Kalen Williams (6'2''-G, played in 2021-22, plays pro in Georgia) was the major contributor in Batumi's victory against the league leader Kutaisi (12-5) 101-100 in the Georgian Superleague in Monday night's game. He recorded 27 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 8 assists in 39 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Williams' first season in pro basketball. Basketball Club Batumi (9-8) is placed sixth in the Superleague. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Williams has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 18.7ppg, 4.1rpg, 4.7apg and 1.1spg in seven games he played so far.

   #2. Trevon Evans (6'0''-PG-1995, played in 2016-17, plays in Portugal) led Illiabum to a victory over the fifth-ranked Portimonense (15-9) 80-70 in the Portuguese Proliga (second division) last Saturday. He was MVP of the game. Evans recorded a double-double by scoring 26 points and getting 10 rebounds. He also added 5 assists. Illiabum Clube (14-10) is placed sixth in Places 1-8 group. Evans' team will play only one more game in the Second Stage. And now that game is very crucial. It's Evans' first season with the team. This year he has very high stats. Evans averages 17.9ppg, 3.2rpg, 3.9apg and 1.2spg.

   #3. Joe Petrakis (6'11''-C-2001, played in 2018-19, currently in Cyprus) contributed to a 3-point Apollon's victory against the league outsider Frederick Achilleas Kaimakliou (2-21) 86-83 in the Cypriot OPAP BL on Saturday night. Petrakis scored 17 points, had 8 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 36 minutes; not bad, considering it's only his first season in pro basketball. BC Apollon Limassol (7-15) is placed seventh in the OPAP BL. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be important. It's Petrakis' first year with the team. Petrakis has very impressive stats this season 15.2ppg, 6.5rpg and 1.3apg in 22 games.

   #4. Michael Marsh (6'10''-C-1999, played in 2020-21, plays pro in Switzerland) contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Lugano (8-1) crushing them 124-87 in the Swiss SBL in Sunday night's game. Marsh recorded 6 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Pully Lausanne Foxes (15-7) are placed third in the SBL. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be extremely important. Marsh has relatively good stats this season 12.6ppg and 5.2rpg.

   #5. Experienced Bruce Massey (6'3''-G-1990, played in 2009-11, plays in the TBL) contributed to an easy victory against the Reading Rebels (0-10) 120-101 in the TBL last Thursday. Massey had a triple-double by scoring 22 points, grabbing 10 rebounds and passing 13 assists in 40 minutes. The Capital Seahwaks have a solid 6-3 record this season. Massey has relatively good stats this year 13.0ppg, 7.0rpg, 6.3apg and 2.0spg in three games.
