Here is the weekly review of the top performing Trojans alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.
#1. DeMarcus Sharp (6'3''-G-1998, played in 2019-20, plays pro in Serbia) was the major contributor in a Radnicki KG's victory against the 15th-ranked Metalac VL (1-8) 79-61 in the Serbian KLS on Saturday night.
He scored 14 points and added 6 assists in 32 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Sharp's first season in pro basketball. SPD Radnicki Kragujevac (3-2) is placed fifth in the KLS.
But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen.
It's Sharp's first year with the team.
He has relatively good stats this season 12.9ppg, 4.1rpg, 3.7apg and 1.6spg.
#2. Rian Carter (6'2''-G, played in 2018-20, plays in Bosnia). He could not help Mladost (3-4) to beat Promo (4-3) in the Bosnia and Herzegovina Division I. Carter did not impress in that game on Saturday.
He recorded only 2 points.
Mladost lost 78-87 at home to the higher-ranked (#6) Promo.
But the season just started, so everything may happen.
It's Carter's first year with the team.
This season Carter averages 3.0ppg, 1.1rpg and 2.1apg in seven games he played so far.
#3. Mathias Mailath-Pokorny (6'8''-F-2002, played in 2024-24, currently in Austria) was not able to help Vienna United in their game against Alligators (7-3) in the Austrian 2.Bundesliga (second division).
Mailath-Pokorny recorded 8 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 21 minutes.
The fourth-placed Vienna United (5-4) was defeated 68-63 on the road by the second-ranked Alligators in the East group.
This season Mailath-Pokorny averages 9.9ppg and 7.4rpg.
#4. Caleb Jones-McCrary (6'8''-F-2000, played in 2018-20, plays pro in Malta) led Luxol to a victory over the league outsider Valletta Tigers (0-6) crushing them 136-58 in the Maltese BOV League D1 on Sunday night.
He was MVP of the game. Jones-McCrary scored 40 points (!!!), had 9 boards, dished 5 assists and stole 7 balls; not bad, considering it's only his first season in pro basketball. Luxol Sherries Estates (3-1) is placed second in the BOV League D1.
It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row.
But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen.
Jones-McCrary has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 27.5ppg, 10.3rpg, 4.8apg, 1.5bpg and 3.0spg in four games.
