EuroBasket Pro Scotties Weekly Update

Every week we bring you a list of the top former Scotties players who continue their career in pro basketball.



   #1. Experienced Jarmar Gulley (6'5''-SF-1991, played in 2009-10, plays pro in China) was the major contributor in a Zhejiang Golden Bulls' victory against the closely-ranked Guangsha Lions (33-19) 93-81 in a derby game in the Chinese CBA on Tuesday night. He scored 16 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 24 minutes. Zhejiang Golden Bulls (41-11) are placed third in the CBA. It was his team's 12th consecutive victory in a row. The Regular Season already ended. Gulley has relatively good stats this season 11.7ppg, 4.3rpg, 3.8apg and 1.7spg.

   #2. Phil Henry (6'8''-F-1991, played in 2010-12, plays in Bulgaria) could not help Akademik Plovdiv (11-17) in their last game. Despite Henry's good performance the fourth-placed Akademik Plovdiv (11-17) lost 73-81 on the road to the higher-ranked (#3) Levski in the Places 7-12 group. He scored 10 points. There are only four games left until the end of the Second Stage. So now every game will be critical. Henry has relatively good stats this year 13.5ppg and 3.6rpg in 14 games he played so far. He is a naturalized Jamaican.

   #3. Rashon Johnson (6'6''-G/F-1999, played in 2018-20, currently in Azerbaijan), who plays in the Azerbaijani ABL was not able to help Jalilabad (5-11) in their game last Saturday. Despite his very good performance Jalilabad was defeated 103-91 in Ganja by the higher-ranked Gence (#5). Johnson was the top scorer with 23 points. He also added 5 rebounds and 6 assists in 28 minutes. Johnson's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. Johnson has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 17.3ppg, 4.9rpg, 2.5apg and 1.3spg.

   #4. Luiz Machado Jr. (6'7''-F-1998, played in 2018-19, plays pro in Brazil) was not able to secure a victory for one of league's weakest teams U.Corinthians (10-24) in their last game. Despite his good performance U.Corinthians was crushed83-59 in Sao Paulo by the higher-ranked (#13) Pinheiros. Machado Jr. recorded 10 points. It was U.Corinthians' seventh consecutive loss in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be important. This year Machado Jr. averages 4.3ppg and 1.3rpg in 18 games. He is a naturalized Brazilian.
