Every week we bring you a list of the top former Pirates players who continue their career in pro basketball.
#1. Kaelin Crane (6'6''-G/F, played in 2017-19, plays pro in Azerbaijan) led Sabah to a 3-point victory over the closely-ranked Gence (17-8) 87-84 in the Azerbaijani ABL on Saturday night.
He was MVP of the game. Crane scored 20 points in 23 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his first season in pro basketball. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Sabah BK Baku (18-7) is placed second in the ABL.
The Regular Season already ended.
It's Crane's first year with the team.
This season Crane averages 8.4ppg, 3.9rpg and 1.1apg.
#2. Kevin Baker (6'8''-F, played in 2016-18, plays in Australia) could not help Central District Lions (0-3) in their last game. Despite Baker's very good performance the ninth-placed Central District Lions (0-3) lost 83-92 on the road to the higher-ranked (#8) Norwood Flames in the Central group.
He was the top scorer with 20 points; not bad, considering it's only Baker's first season in pro basketball. So far Central District Lions lost all three games in the Regular Season.
But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen.
Baker has relatively good stats this year 11.7ppg and 6.7rpg in three games he played so far.
#3. Martin Adams (6'9''-C-1999, played in 2017-18, currently in the TBL), who plays in the TBL was not able to help the Vancouver Volcanoes (2-7) in their game last Friday. Despite Adams' very good performance the Vancouver Volcanoes (#7) were crushed133-105 in Seattle by the Super Hawks.
He scored 20 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and made 3 blocks in 31 minutes.
Adams has relatively good stats this season 13.9ppg, 8.4rpg, 1.3apg and 2.0bpg.
#4. Omar Lo (6'9''-F-1997, played in 2015-17, plays pro in Spain) managed to help SDP Ponferrada Clinic in a victory against the 11th-ranked Real Canoe (9-16) 90-81 in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division) on Saturday night.
He recorded only 4 points and grabbed 7 rebounds.
SDP Ponferrada Clinic (14-11) is placed sixth in West group.
It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row.
They will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical.
It's Lo's first season with the team.
Lo has relatively good stats this year 14.4ppg, 6.5rpg and 1.4spg in 23 games.
