EuroBasket Pro Cougars Weekly Update

Every week we bring you a list of the top former Cougars players who continue their career in pro basketball.



   #1. Dwayne Davis (6'5''-F-89, played in 2009-10, plays pro in Uruguay) was the major contributor in Aguada's victory against the fifth-ranked Capitol (0-1) crushing them 99-69 in a derby game in the Uruguayan LUB on Thursday night. He recorded 19 points and added 3 assists in 29 minutes. It was his first game for Aguada this season. His team is placed first in Places 7-12 group. There are only four games left until the end of the Second Stage. So now every game will be critical.

   #2. Experienced Vaidotas Volkus (6'8''-F-85, graduated '08, plays in Germany) led Herford to an easy victory against the tenth-ranked BSV Wulfen (9-14) crushing them 112-81 in the German Regionalliga (fourth division) in Saturday night's game. He had a double-double by scoring 31 points and getting 12 rebounds. BBG Herford (17-6) is placed second in West group. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. Volkus has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 23.4ppg, 9.1rpg, 1.3apg and 1.2spg in 22 games he played so far.

   #3. Tavarion Nix (6'7''-SF-92, played in 2011-13, currently in Kosovo), who plays in the Kosovan Superliga could not help Feronikeli (5-18) in their game last Saturday. Despite Nix's very good performance Feronikeli was defeated71-62on the road by the higher-ranked Trepca (#4). He was the top scorer with 17 points. Nix also added 7 rebounds and 2 blocks in 33 minutes. This season Nix has very high stats. He averages 15.5ppg, 9.8rpg, 1.3apg and 1.5bpg.

   #4. Daniel Hurtt (6'6''-F-94, played in 2014-15, plays pro in Indonesia) was not able to help one of league's weakest teams Satya Wacana (2-7) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Satya Wacana lost83-78in Pandang to the higher-ranked (#8) Hang Tuah. Hurtt was the second best scorer with 15 points. He also added 5 rebounds. It was his first game for Satya Wacana this season; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Hurtt's third season in pro basketball. It was Satya Wacana's third consecutive loss in a row.

Aivaras Mince (6'5''-SF-85) plays for Bangene in Lithuanian RKL
