Here is the weekly review of the top performing Texans alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Mike Karena (6'10''-C-93, played in 2013-14, plays pro in New Zealand) contributed to an easy victory against the league outsider Jets (1-7) crushing them 110-69 in the New Zealand NBL on Friday night. He recorded 10 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in only 14 minutes. Canterbury Rams (6-2) are placed third in the NBL. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. It's Karena's first season with the team. Karena has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 16.8ppg, 4.3rpg and 1.9apg.

   #2. Experienced Jermaine Bolden (5'10''-PG-86, played in 2006-07, plays in Antigua) led Cutie Ovals Ojays to a victory against the closely-ranked Stingerz (12-4) 72-60 in the Antiguan ABBA in Sunday night's game. Bolden scored 13 points, grabbed 6 boards, passed 4 assists and added 3 steals. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. F&G Trading Cutie Ovals Ojays (16-1) is placed first in the ABBA. It was his team's 13th consecutive victory in a row. The Regular Season already ended. It's Bolden's first season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year 10.8ppg, 5.1rpg, 8.1apg and 3.6spg in 17 games he played so far.

   #3. Nick Okorie (6'1''-G-88, played in 2006-08, currently in Brazil), who plays in the Brazilian Liga Ouro (second division) could not help UniFacisa (8-6) in their game last Tuesday. Despite his very good performance UniFacisa was defeated 86-82 at home by the second-ranked Sao Paulo FC. Okorie was the top scorer with 20 points in 39 minutes. This season Okorie has very high stats. He averages 16.2ppg, 3.0rpg, 2.7apg and 1.2spg.

   #4. Tramar Sutherland (6'3''-G-89, played in 2008-10, plays pro in Canada) managed to help Hamilton Honey Badgers in a victory against the Fraser Valley Bandits (0-4) 102-88 in the CEBL on Wednesday night. He scored only 2 points. The Hamilton Honey Badgers have 3-2 record this season. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. This year Sutherland averages 1.5ppg in four games.
